Jets Their is one jet in the club, with Nick having purchased a Mick Reeves Super Reaper. It now has about 70 flights on it and has proved to be an extremely good jet trainer.
I'm quite often asked about how easy it is to fly and the answer is really easy ! As long as you don't mess the landing up you will find her difficult to get into trouble. Landing can be awkward if your coming in to fast and if she's put down to early she'll just bounce causing quite a bit of damage. I have put a Jetcat P80 in , and the residual thrust is probably a little to high and a such I find it better to kill the throttle on landing.
With a two litre fuel tank in I get about a six minute flight, which feels about 30 seconds long. I did find that without a header tank the engine would cut due to bubbles in the line but since installing this I have had no problems. I use up all nine channels on my radio , what with a separate servo for all surfaces , wheel brakes and two channels taken up with the engine controls. I have installed a whip aerial and I have found this to be an extremely reliable and good performance setup.
